The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 相比15版麦克白逊色不少，戏剧般的形式感和黑白并没有加分，最重要的内心情感戏也是一带而过，不知道在拍些什么……

风格有点过于混搭了，又还是somehow make sense
绝妙的视觉风格，感觉把黑白光影运用到了极致，呈现的效果超越了一般意义上的复古。但同时也几乎放弃了对原作的任何解读，感觉就像是用影像的形式看了一版set design极其出色但文本保守演绎也没有态度的话剧。

这是话剧吗？科恩为什么拍莎士比亚？没必要拍。
将麦克白放入纪念碑谷？极简主义场景带来的效果就是更聚焦演员的表演，显然华盛顿撑住了，摄影也是极好，但也就这样了。

是一部极致的影像化戏剧，美感都建立在影像技术升华的戏剧形式上，而精彩的戏剧化电影应该是黑泽明的《蜘蛛巢城》。

最出彩的是王后，最复杂的是那个奴隶似的传话官，但“麦克白”本身似乎还少了一点。
极简的影像后面是乏味化，摄影很好，莎翁的对白听一次有一次新的感受。
属于我看多少遍都看不懂的那种类型的电影~但是4:3x黑白 还是挺好的
科恩兄弟第一次分开指导的作品。哥哥的美学造诣没得说，但很难讲这是不是以牺牲了部分叙事达到的效果。原来的剧本足够经典，但这部电影依然很好的阐释了戏剧和电影并非矛盾冲突对立的关系。life but a walking shadow.
同样是以麦克白为蓝本，麦克白夫妇的表演远不及《蜘蛛巢城》里的三船敏郎和山田五十铃。
